Hi love. I’m Ciara, the founder of Eunoia Bra.
And I want to talk to you the same way I would if we were sitting together, face-to-face, woman to woman, heart to heart.
“Eunoia” means beautiful thinking or well mind.
This brand was born from one of the hardest moments of my life. Losing my baby boy Rj. I turned that pain into purpose, healing, and support for women everywhere.
How Eunoia Bra Began
My first experience with my milk coming in happened after giving birth to my daughter, Samaya my senior year of high school and choosing not to breastfeed. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to expect. But I was told to use sports bras, plastic wrap, and cabbage leaves. I tried everything, and nothing really felt gentle or comforting.
Fast forward 16 years. I’m 33 years old, 16 weeks pregnant, and suddenly I go into labor. At the hospital, we were given memorial keepsakes and grief resources and while those helped emotionally, nothing prepared me for what my body was about to go through next.
A few days later, my milk came in. It felt like I was back at square one with processing my grief. My breasts were full and aching. Once again, I found myself wrapping up in plastic wrap, squeezing into sports bras that were cut too low, and using makeshift methods.
One day, while my husband was helping me wrap my chest, I said out loud:
“There has to be a better way.”
And that moment changed everything.
Why I Created the Eunoia Bra
I realized that even though there are endless products to help women breastfeed, there was nothing really created thoughtful, gentle, or supportive for women who need to stop.
No matter the reason. Whether it’s loss, weaning, choosing not to breastfeed, you deserve comfort, dignity, and compassion.
